A loan helped to buy basic materials and make her hats.

Jomaira Asuncion's story

Jamaira Asuncion and her family live in Picoazo, a place where the majority of the people work in business, and which also has been very much affected by COVID-19.

She is a hard-working woman who seeks the way to earn her resources and with them, help her husband with the household expenses. Even though now things are complicated because of the pandemic, she continues in her business. She weaves hats of palmetto fiber in her home, then she turns them over to dealers who come there to buy from her. Even though her orders have decreased, she continues making her hats, since she knows that once all this is finished, they are going to sell very rapidly.

This loan is to buy basic materials to make her hats.
