A loan helped to buy sheets and comforters to sell.

Katherine Monserrate's story

Katherine Monserrate and her family live in the town of Montecristi, known for its rich, precolonial history and its handicrafts. It has been hit quite hard by the Covid-19 pandemic, both financially and socially.

Katherine is a very hardworking woman. She works selling sheets, comforters and pillowcases, in order to make her own resources and help her husband with the household expenses, now more than ever as the pandemic is complicating things.

At the start of the quarantine caused by the health crisis she couldn't go out to sell, and was also afraid of contracting the disease. Later she started selling through social media. However, her sales were quite low, and now that she is permitted to go out again she has started visiting her customers again. This is how she is achieving better sales and earnings.

This loan is to buy sheets and comforters. Katherine hopes to continue counting on the support of loans.
