Rocio Elizabeth's story

Rocio Elizabeth and her family live in the Montecristi Canton, which is known for its rich precolonial history and its craftwork. The area has been seriously affected by the Covid-19 crisis both economically and socially.

Rocio Elizabeth is a hardworking woman who seeks a way to earn her own living so that she can contribute to the household expenses, which is even more important now that the health emergency has caused great harm to the population. Thanks to these loans she has been able to get by. She and her father have a small brick factory (material used in construction), and her father and two persons manufacture the bricks. During quarantine, the business suffered a lot, but it is improving as time passes.

This loan is to buy firewood, sawdust, water, palm fiber, which are materials used to make the bricks.
