Belgica Elizabeth's story

Belgica Elizabeth and her family live in Portoviejo, a city affected by the earthquake of April 16, 2016 and now also by the COVID-19 pandemic. The city is rich in production of vegetables, beans, and tropical fruit for domestic use.

Belgica Elizabeth changed her business because she wasn’t selling a variety of clothing, so now she is selling sheets in various colors, designs, sizes, etc. She makes her sales on credit and collects payments weekly.

She has gone through financial hardships during this global crisis; her customers can’t pay because they have been left unemployed, while others have died. In the beginning the health crisis went very badly for her because she couldn’t make sales. Now, bit by bit, she is restarting her business in order to be able to continue generating income.

This loan is to buy sheets in different designs. Her dream is to have her own shop to continue with her sales, and that her family would be very healthy.
