A loan helped to purchase junks (used clothing) and other assorted items to increase his business.

Alpha's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 54-year-old Alpha from Waterloo branch. He is married with two children between the ages of 18 and 25 years old and both of them are attending school. He started this business to support his family.

Alpha runs a retail business in which he sells clothing and other assorted items. He has been in this business for the past 12 years. His other source of income comes from his spouse's business. His main challenge is slow sales sometimes during this COVID 19.

He requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase junks (used clothing) and other assorted items to increase his business. Alpha says that the extra income from this loan will help to improve his business and his family's welfare.

In the future, he would like to establish on a larger scale. He says thanks to BRAC and Kiva for their support.
