Esther's story

Esther is a 57-year-old mother of one child. She has never taken her eyes off the path of success. She lives in Sotik, a home of champions. Esther has supported her family through mixed dairy and crop farming for the past ten years.

Esther is seeking this loan to buy farming inputs, which she plans to use to improve her production and make more income for her family this first quarter of 2021.

The Covid-19 pandemic has posed a significant threat to the economy of Kenya, causing a lot of uncertainties and disrupting food supply chains. Juhudi Kilimo, in partnership with Kiva, is at the forefront in combating this pandemic by supporting smallholder farmers and micro-entrepreneurs during this difficult period.
