Ethline's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase sewing materials, cloths and a deep freezer in order to sell cold products to better provide for her customers and increase her income.

Ethline's story

Ethline is a 48 year old mother of three. Her children are of ages 27, 21 and 11. She is happily married. Her husband is unemployed and helps her with her business. She lives with her husband and children in their own home which is situated in a village on the northern side of Efate island which Port Vila city is in. Her community is quite large and has one of the main docks that the offshore islands use. The main industry in her village is agriculture, but the Covid-19 pandemic made it hard to earn a steady income.

Ethline has requested a loan to help her purchase sewing materials and clothes for her business in addition to a deep freezer which she tends to start selling ice blocks, ice cream and meat products. She started her sewing business back in 2010, and her passion of sewing has helped her family financially. She dreams of opening her own storefront so she can sell her sewing products to tourists and locals. With the revenue earned, she will use to expand her business and start off with her deep freezer product sales.
