I grew up on a multi-purpose, 240-acre family farm in southern MN, where we milked cows, raised hogs, and sold eggs. The farm was more about living a good life and making a living, than in getting rich. Farming has always been in my blood, going back generations, on both sides. Working with plants and in particular animals is a noble calling that feeds me on emotional and spiritual levels, and feeds others on a physical and (I hope) a spiritual level. People need access to good food, raised in a sustainable and respectful manner. People need to find a way to connect with what they eat.
