Totamou Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy oxen for resale.

Totamou Group's story

Karim is a 40-year-old Malian. He is married and the father of six children, ages 1 to 17, including four who attend school. A farmer by trade, he has also been raising oxen to generate income for more than ten years. Now he would like to expand this activity to make it his main source of income.

Karim borrows from the MFI RMCR to buy his oxen at the neighboring markets, raises them and then resells them at the same markets. He earns between 90,000 and 125,000 FCFA in income after each cycle, which allows him to cover his family's expenses. He has had no major problems since he started borrowing from RMCR, and his business is growing at a reasonable pace. With the income he earned, he was able to buy eight oxen to increase his herd.

Note: He is alone in the photo because of Covid-19.
