Norah's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farming supplies that she will use to improve her production so she can make more profits to support her family during this hard economic period.

Norah's story

Norah is a 34-year-old mother who lives in Maua, a place where many Kiva lenders would like to be so they could enjoy the beautiful climate, and see great Mount Kenya and other staggering hills in the region. Norah is a mixed farmer with ten years of experience.

The major impediment to the development of small farms in Kenya is the lack of short-term credit facilities.

Juhudi Kilimo, in partnership with Kiva, is working hard to support smallholder farmers in Kenya by providing financing, therefore guaranteeing their survival. Norah seeks this loan to buy farming supplies that she will use to improve her production and make more profits to support her family during this hard economic period. Supporting her with a loan will allow her to face the financial crisis that has been brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic. She thanks to your warm support.
