Constant's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase hybrid seeds and fertilizer to improve harvests of maize.

Constant's Group's story

Pictured above is Constant, often described as an extremely experienced farmer. He is 48 years old and has five children. As a group leader, he is representing his group of 19 farmers in Teso District, Kenya.

Constant is returning this season to work with One Acre Fund to get the best quality fertilizer and hybrid seeds, which is why he decided to join in the first place. Constant says that he is happy to have made that decision because, since he first joined in 2017, he has been able to consistently feed his family, which has improved his day-to-day life significantly. Constant will use the profits from this season to buy a cow.

The group will use this loan to purchase enough seeds and fertilizer to plant a total of 11.25 acres. Given that some members of the group will also be purchasing a solar light, with this loan, the group will also receive a total of three solar lights.
