Monique's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy fresh provisions (plantain bananas, cocoyams and cassavas).

Monique's story

Monique is a forty-eight-year-old woman and the mother of five children, whose ages range from 15 to 26 years old. Three of them still go to school. She is a shopkeeper and has been selling various types of fresh provisions depending on the season (cassavas, plantain bananas, palm nuts and fruits) from one of the city's plaza market for 4 years. She has a good knowledge of all the suppliers, and also of her customerbase, which she acquired over time thanks to her experience in this field. She is constantly out of stock because she has to sell out everything before purchasing new supplies, due to the limited amount of her capital. She would like to buy sacks of cocoyams and cassavas, in addition to bunches of plantain bananas in order to have a good amount of stock, which will enable her to meet the constant customer demand and to avoid running out of stock. She is planning to save up some money with her earnings, in order not only to expand her business but also to support her family.
