Paulino, age 55, began to work in agriculture - growing corn, beans, and coffee - 40 years ago, with the support of his parents. He farmed on land they had. Now he farms on his own property.
He again requests a loan from Fundenuse to buy agricultural supplies to maintain his cultivation of two "manzanas" [about four acres] of seasonal beans. He expresses his appreciation for his previous Kiva loan, because he has been able to provide for his family; he improved the harvests from the crops from which they survive and progress. He has the goal of continuing to expand his farm, by buying more land for planting.
He belongs to the communal bank “14 de Junio Caño de la Cruz” with Deyton and Angela, who also work in agriculture.
