but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

Cristela Floridalba's story

Cristela is married and has a daughter. Her daughter is a dependent, 22 years old and studies. In her free time, she helps Cristela with her business because her studies are online. Cristela has relatives who live abroad with whom she communicates
The business she has had for 17 years is selling basic needs products. She started this business with her husband's support, but she is the one who has always been working there, because he is employed somewhere else. Cristela works from Monday to Sunday from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm. She says that she learned this job from her own initiative, because her family needed more financial resources. The advantage of her business is that she has a set customer base. Her disadvantage is that in her area there is a lot of competition.
She is requesting a loan to strengthen her store's inventory. She will buy drinks, sugar, basic grains, kitchen oil, among other products, at wholesale prices, in order to expand her store. She hopes that this investment will help her to reopen her business, since it was closed for 3 months because of the COVID 19 pandemic. After that, she was working every other day. This situation caused her sales to decrease and lose capital. Her goals are to establish a mini market and to become a provider for smaller stores.
