Dermis Farlene's story

Dermis Farlene and her family live in Portoviejo, a city affected by the April 16, 2016 earthquake and now by Covid-19. The city is rich in production of vegetables, legumes, and tropical fruit for domestic consumption.

Despite fear of Covid-19 contagion, Dermis Farlene continues selling sheets, comforters, and very little clothing. Her daughter helps, taking the merchandise to various places where it is requested. She also sells on social networks via the internet. Her long-time clients come to her house to buy. She sells on credit and collects weekly.

She had financial difficulties during the worldwide crisis. Her clients could not pay because they were unemployed, and others had died. At first, she could not sell, but now she is reactivating little by little, to continue generating income.

This loan is to buy comforters and sheets to fulfill orders. Her dream is to have good health and that her family will not contract Covid-19.
