Abatarutwa Cb Group's story

Athanasie is a 54-year-old married mother with five children aged between 19 and 28 years. For the past fifteen years, she has been selling livestock.

Athanasie is the leader of the group named Abatarutwa CB, which in English means “Pleased People.” Group members sell different items and own a variety of businesses.

Athanasie will use her loan to buy goats and sheep to meet customer demand. With the profits from her sales, she will be able to provide for the family and also be able to pay school fees for her children.

She is thankful for the support.

Due to the global pandemic, Urwego was not able to photograph all the members, but Urwego was able to get one representative for the group photo.
