A loan helped to buy live pigs.

Dalia Mirella's story

Dalia Mirella and her family live in the community of Higuerón de Picoazá a few kilometres from the city of Portoviejo. A large part of the population earn their living from farming and raising poultry.

Together with her husband Dalia Mirella makes a living selling pigs by the pound. They go to the country to buy pigs to then sell them butchered by the pound. Their advantage is that they have a continuous clientele and they sell every day. At the beginning of the health crisis they did very poorly as they could not sell. But business is coming back little by little so they are able to continue to generate their income.

This loan will be used to buy live pigs, their transport and basic services. Her dream is to have a meat processing plant and for her family to enjoy good health.
