A loan helped to buy fish.

Maria Auxiliadora's story

Maria is 63 years old, in a common-law marriage, and has six grown children. Her husband works in the fishing industry. They live in Jaramijo, a beautiful place whose inhabitants are hardworking, humble people.

Maria is someone who, in the face of adversity, is continuing to move forward in life for the good of her family; this is why, over 15 years ago, she decided to start a business selling fish, making sales from a small stand on the beach. Due to public health measures put in place by the government and the fear of contagion, she decided to sell from home and only makes deliveries upon request. It's been very difficult, given that sales aren't what they used to be, but she is pushing forward because this is the way she knows how to make a living.

This loan will be used to buy fish. Maria's dream is to see her business continue to progress.
