Carlos Hernan's story

Carlos Hernan, 23, is a young entrepreneur in the city of Barranquilla, where he has a hardware store that he operates as a commercial business. He started his business over four years ago, thanks to an inheritance from his father and some savings from his mother. He is supported by his brother, who helps him and guides the business.

Carlos Hernan is single and is studying for a university degree. His main goal is to increase his stock and have more merchandise. The global COVID-19 pandemic caused his business to deteriorate because of biosafety issues, and his cash flow decreased dramatically.

For this reason, he joined the "Barranquilla Responds" Program to request his first Kiva loan with Fundación Santo Domingo. He plans to buy high-turnover items at wholesale prices, such as cement, paint, tools, and cables, among others. Please support his business loan.
