Verano's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farming inputs such as certified seeds and nutrient-rich fertilizers to improve his farm and earn profits he can use to sustain his family.

Verano's story

Wonderful Kiva lenders,

Juhudi Kilimo and Kiva have worked together in transforming the lives of more than 40,000 rural smallholder farmers and micro entrepreneurs.

Verano is a father who is happy to be introduced to the Kiva community. Verano is married and has four cute children who all go to school.

He works hard on his farm so that his family can maintain a good reputation and his children can have a bright future. Verano raises animals and grows crops on his small piece of land. He is a man working with passion and determination to reach his dream of transforming his family. This level of success has been fueled by, among other things, his passion, commitment and determination.

Although Verano has been making a profit through farming, not everything has been easy for him. His farm has not been producing much of a harvest lately due to lack of fertilizer and good seeds and the presence of pests and diseases. In the modern world, agriculture has become exceedingly dynamic, making the kind of inputs that are being used in the sector today expensive. On this note, there is a need to use improved farming inputs for effective production.

Verano has requested a loan that he will use to buy farming inputs, such as certified seeds and nutrient-rich fertilizers, to improve his farm.

With the loan, Verano will be assured of a good harvest which will translate into more profits and income.
