Marieta's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more stock for their store like canned goods, noodles, seasonings, snack foods, drinks, and toiletries. Another part of this loan will be used to buy seeds, pesticides, and fertilizer.

Marieta's story

Marieta is from Sara, Iloilo. She is 48 years old, married, and has two dependents. She runs a sari-sari (variety) store, selling basic commodities to earn an income. She has been in this business for many years. Aside from this, she and her husband also run a small family farm where they grow corn plants.

Now, she asks for a loan of PHP20,000 through Kiva’s field partner CEVI (a microfinance NGO) in the Philippines, which she will use to buy more stock for their store like canned goods, noodles, seasonings, snack foods, drinks, and toiletries. Another part of this loan will be used to buy seeds, pesticides, and fertilizer.
