Las Emprendedoras Group's story

This group is named “Las Emprendedoras” (The Entrepreneurs) since that describes who the members are. They are enterprising women who seek to provide their loved ones with everything they never had. In addition, they are participating in the poverty elimination program.

Fátima is one of the members of this group and also serves as the committee president. She looks for ways to help her loved ones and also wants to be a role model for others. Fátima makes and sells crocheted handicrafts. She says that her work gives her the means to help her family and provide them a decent quality of life. This will allow them to avoid the hardships that she had to experience.

Fátima is requesting a loan to buy thread in various colors, needles, and other supplies that will enable her to continue her work as before. She says that she needs to invest a bit more capital into her business so that she can improve it.

Note: The photo shows only one person, even though this is a group loan. It was not possible to take a group photo in order to avoid congregating during the COVID-19 pandemic.
