A loan helped to build a safe latrine at home.

Sophy's story

Sophy, age 42, is a widowed woman with three children who are attending school. She and her family are located in the area of Angkor Borei district, Takeo province. She is in the agriculture business. She raises poultry at home, such as chickens and ducks, and she sells them to the local traders after three or four months of feeding.

Currently, her house doesn't have a safe latrine and she can not provide sanitation to her family members. Sophy is requesting a loan to build a safe latrine for her home. In this way she hopes to increase the value of her home, improve sanitation, and ensure healthy living conditions to safeguard the health of her family and protect the environment. With this loan, she will be able to purchase construction supplies, such as bricks and cement, to build a safe latrine and pay for the labor cost.

Sophy sends thanks to all lenders for contributed their funds to help poor farmers like her.
