Lorn's story

Lorn, age 28, is a widowed woman living in rural Takeo province with her one school-aged child. Working as a garment worker has been the primary source of her income for a long time. With her income, she can pay for food and products for household use, allowances for her child and other costs. With her perseverance, she plans to educate her child up to college because she wants to see her child become a professional one day. At the moment, Lorn’s home is under construction and she needs more materials to have it finished. Due to a shortage of money, she is asking for a loan to buy construction supplies for the renovation of her old home. She has requested a loan in of 8,000,000 KHR ($2000) to buy cement, bricks and other equipment to renovate her house. She hopes that with the help of the loan, she can provide everyone in her family with a suitable place to live, comfortable living conditions and has enough material to cover the roof which the house currently lacks. She sends thanks to all lenders and promises to pay the loan back as scheduled.
