A loan helped to pay for land filling around her house.

Vanna's story

Vanna is 21 years old. She is a married woman who has been living in the Bakan district, Pursat province with her spouse.

Vanna is a conscientious farmer who owns a few plots of farmland for farming activities. She works in this business along with her spouse. This couple has good cooperation. Also, they often go work as paid laborers in their village for additional income for the family. They are able to earn income of around 16,700 Cambodian riels (KHR) each day.

Vanna would like to borrow her first loan from lenders to improve her family's living conditions. Because of the shortage of her finances, she has applied for a loan in the amount of KHR 8,000,000 to pay for land filling around her house. With this loan support, she can pay for land filling and can provide her family members with a good environment and fresh air, and can protect them from illness. She will also be able to cover the mud around her house.

When the process of land filling is finished, Vanna plans to grow vegetables and raise some poultry to collect and sell in the local market. She plans to save her generated income gradually, both for her business expansion as well as for her child’s education.
