A loan helped to pay for land filling around her house.

Ratna's story

Ratna is a humble villager living in Bakan district, Pursat province, with her spouse and her grown-up children. She is an industrious woman who works with the sweat of her brow to earn a livelihood.

Her primary focused businesses are farming and raising poultry, income from which she uses to cover her daily costs and support her children’s education as well as allowances. She wants to be more successful in her family-owned agribusinesses and earn a good income to meet her daily living needs.

However, the way she does farming is still based on the traditional method. Currently, the land around her house is full of mud and cannot provide sanitation to her family. Because of the shortage of her finances, she has applied for a loan in the amount of KHR 7,000,000 to pay for land filling around her house. With this loan's support, she hopes that she and her family will have a good living environment and protection from illness.

In the future, she aims to renovate her old house and push her children to continue studying at university. She sends thanks for supporting her family's finances and promises to pay the loan back on time, as scheduled.
