Taina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to expand her weaving business by employing laborers so she can supply mats and meet the high demand.

Taina's story

With the societal changes, the demand for traditional artifacts and items has escalated. Such items have become increasingly important since the art of weaving is slowly dying out as the priorities of women have changed.

Taina, 48, has been weaving since she was a young girl. She seeks a loan to meet the high demand from her customers on a large scale. She will pay for people to plant and harvest the pandanus plant, which is used to weave mats. Taina is certain in her decision to be a mat weaver and is eager to get started right away. It is clear and will reflect in her passion for being a weaver.
