Uamsho Group's story

Julienne is a client of the micro-finance institution Hekima and the leader of the village group called "Uamsho." She is married, 54 years old, and a mother of eight children. Three of the children are in school, while five of the children are finished [with school]. Her partner is a government official.

Julienne sells second-hand clothing. She started this business in 1998 with start-up funds from her income-generating activities. Later, she joined Hekima to support her business, which continues to evolve. With this new loan, she is going to buy two loads of second-hand clothing to strengthen her initial capital. The challenge to her business revolves around a lack of merchandise.

Julienne would like to build a house and that her children to continue in school. Finally, she wishes to thank Hekima and their partners for their support to business owners who lack access to banking services in the context of the COVID-19 global crisis.
