Hijos Solidarios Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy personal care products, basic grains, vegetables, fruits, and nonperishable products.

Hijos Solidarios Group's story

The Hijos Solidarios communal bank is made up of eight women who live in the department of Masaya, Nicaragua, demonstrating to their community that they're hardworking and dedicated women who have made their businesses grow with dedication and struggle.

Luisa Fernanda (the client in the middle of the photograph, wearing a black shirt and cream-colored shorts) has been working with Pro Mujer for three loan cycles, and when she was without work a few years ago she decided to start a grocery store with the amount of her settlement.

Currently she needs to invest in a purchase of personal care products, basic grains, vegetables, fruits, and nonperishable products to have a wider selection of products for her customers in the community where she lives.

Her biggest dream is to be the main convenience store supplying her community and to be able to guarantee quality products for her customers.
