Mujeres Esforzadas Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy basic grains, vegetables, meat, and fruit.

Mujeres Esforzadas Group's story

The Mujeres Esforzadas communal bank is made up of women from the community of Los Limones in the department of Chinandega, Nicaragua. They're women who have worked from dawn to dusk with Pro Mujer to earn a living for their households.

Melitina Rosario (the seated client in the photograph, wearing a black blouse and beige shorts), who's the president of the bank, is 60 years old. She has worked for nine loan cycles with her fellow group members to get their businesses ahead and make their loan payments punctually.

Her goal for the future is to continue to work hand in hand with her associates so her business will prosper.

Her business is food sales and she needs a loan to buy the ingredients for the dishes she makes (rice, meat, beans, oil, vegetables, fruit, etc.): "My satisfaction is working in what I enjoy: cooking and making food for other people."

Support the women of the Mujeres Esforzadas communal bank to continue fighting for their dreams!
