Barricada Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy an electric sewing machine and fabric.

Barricada Group's story

The Barricada communal bank is made up of seven women and one man. The members live in the department of Chinandega, Nicaragua. They've been determined, hardworking, and very persevering people in making their businesses grow and supporting their families.

Debora Nohemi (second from the left, wearing a blue skirt and a shirt stamped with colored hearts) has been working with Pro Mujer for three years. She managed to start a business and generate income for her household with loans from Pro Mujer. She has two children, ages 8 and 4, for whom she works every day.

Currently she has a vegetable stall, but she's starting a new undertaking: tailoring. She needs a loan to buy an electric sewing machine and fabric to start making clothing for women and children.

Her biggest dream is for her children to finish school and for them to be able to have a decent home to live in.

Change the world by supporting a woman!
