Sereima's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped expand and diversify her canteen business.

Sereima's story

Cakaudrove is a province in the north of Fiji that is far from any major towns or cities. Due to its location, the villagers of Naiqaqi depend on Sereima's canteen to buy items that would only be available in the nearest town. For a typical lunch, it would be the cooking oil bought from her canteen that would be used to fry fish. The village and its men are known for their fishing skills and, with this in mind, Sereima hopes to expand and diversify her business.

With a loan, she would be able to include and add more items to her canteen and also buy a deep freezer to store fish in. By buying the fish from the men of the village, she would be able to provide them with a source of income which they would otherwise have to travel to the town for. This makes her business very accommodating and convenient for the villagers.
