Luis Wilfredo's story

Luis Wilfredo is a 21-year-old microentrepreneur living in the city of Barranquilla, who lives with his family. He is a young entrepreneur, who with a lot of effort has gotten his business ahead. His main activity is the sale of frames for lenses, contact lenses and conducting examinations. At his young age he has been able to supply his business little by little until he has gotten a good established clientele that helps his sales. He has had this business for more than a year.

He started with capital that his father inherited before he died. He obtained enough to buy supplies and thus be able to stock, little by little he has gotten ahead. With more and more capital and good organization he has been able to achieve it and have a variety in the frame designs.

But due to the Covid -19 pandemic that occurred worldwide, his work level deteriorated due to biosecurity issues and his income drastically decreased. For this reason, he joined the Barranquilla Responds program to request his first loan from the Santo Domingo Foundation in order to invest in the purchase of an optometry / ophthalmology refraction table or unit, and contact lens merchandise.
