Verapaz Group's story

Julia is 64 years old, a widow and the mother of six children. She has a business selling basic products for the house as her main source of income. She has a very good clientele as she offers good prices and her business is located in a very strategic area.

She is requesting a loan from Fundenuse with funding from Kiva to buy merchandise to restock her business like soft drinks juice, eggs, lard, oil, rice, sugar, bread and canned goods. This will help her generate greater sales.

She is very grateful for the friendly good service that she has received from Fundenuse during the five years she has been working with them. Her goal for the future is to remodel her house and her short term goal is to restock her business.

She belongs to the “Verapaz” communal bank made up of men and women who are fighters who have the same goal of improving the quality of living for their families day by day. Pedro P. sells clothing, shoes and jewellery, Pedro L. sells basic grains and Karen sells basic food products.
