Camilo Alejandro's story

Camilo Alejandro is a young, single, 24-year-old microentrepreneur who lives in the city of Barranquilla with his family. This entrepreneur started his bakery and pastry business to support the household finances. He launched this business plan at home because of his great love and passion for baking.

Camilo has a technical degree in national and international cuisine and has 4 years of experience in this field. Camilo specializes in fondant cakes and brownies. His main customers are friends, family, neighbors, and passers-by in the area who enjoy the good taste and quality of his menu. This business has brought him excellent results and profit.

Due to the restrictions caused by the pandemic, this entrepreneur had to resort to social media and door-to-door sales to remain in business and move forward.

He seeks to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 due to the increase in demand and is currently applying for a Kiva loan. This is the first request that he has made through the Santo Domingo Foundation in order to invest in the purchase of pastries, materials for production and decoration, mixers, and a countertop refrigerator.

He believes he needs additional capital to strengthen his business activity. Camilo dreams of becoming a source of employment and contributing to the socioeconomic development of the country.

Support him in his loan, it will be a success.
