Erick's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase hybrid seeds and fertilizer to improve harvests of maize.

Erick's Group's story

Erick is 29 years old and has two children. He has been a farmer for 17 years and is always said to be a very trustworthy person. Even though Erick is the only one featured in the above picture, he is actually representing his group formed by seven farmers in Teso District, Kenya.

Erick started working alongside One Acre Fund a few years ago, in 2014, and decided to do so because he wanted to have access to the best seed prices. Since then, he has seen his life improve, especially in the sense that he has been able to consistently feed his family ever since. This year, he decided to represent his group because he wanted to gain leadership skills.

Erick’s Group will receive farming inputs to plant a total of 3.75 acres of land. Additionally, some of the farmers in the group will be purchasing a solar light so, with this loan, the group will also receive one solar light.
