El Progreso Del Peje Grupo 3 Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy oil, rice, grains, salt, flour, etc. This is for a Haitian member, who needs your help to buy merchandise to stock up her business.

El Progreso Del Peje Grupo 3 Group's story

Omena is a Haitian woman who lives in a batey [a village sprung up around a sugar refinery] in the province of San Pedro de Macoris. Due to the economic crisis that Haiti is going through, many of its citizens decide to leave their country in search of a better life. Omena has been a Dominican citizen for three years. She is known in her community since she is always inclined to help out in any way she can.

Omena used to sell fried foods, but she wasn't earning the necessary funds to support her family. She decided to open a small grocery shop in which she sells oil, salt, sugar, bread, soda pop, and crackers, among other products.

This business helps Omena support her family as it is her main source of income. Omena is the mother of four children.

Omena dreams of seeing her grocery store grow and prosper.

Omena needs your help in order to stock up her business and buy merchandise.
