A loan helped to buy provisions.

Rosa Maria's story

Rosa, 60, is in a common-law marriage. She has three adult children. Her husband's a guard. They live in a rented house in Manta, a place where the residents are modest and very hardworking people who fight every day to get their families ahead.

Rosa's a micro-entrepreneur who makes an effort every day to earn her income honorably. This is why she decided many years ago to start her business selling delicious chicken and cheese empanadas. She makes and sells them at her home.

Because of health standards during the Covid-19 pandemic, though, her income declined drastically. That's why now she's requesting a new loan so she can reactivate her business.

She's going to invest this loan in a purchase of provisions for making empanadas.

Her dream is for her business to continue to grow.
