Rosalia Del Rocio's story

Rosalía, 56, is married. She has three adult children. Her husband doesn't work because of illness. They live in Manta, a place where the residents are modest and very hardworking people who fight every day to get their families ahead.

Rosalía's a micro-entrepreneur who makes an effort every day to earn her income honorably. This is why she has a grocery store and more than six years of experience in the business. Her business plan came from her need to generate income to help cover the household expenses, enabling her to offer everything from the family market basket and cleaning implements. Her customers are neighbors and passersby from the area.

But during of the Covid-19 pandemic she had to suspend her work because of health standards, and her income declined drastically. This is why now she's requesting another loan so she can reactivate her business.

She's going to invest this loan in provisions and personal-care products.

Her dream is for her business to continue to grow.
