Olivia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy inventory and remodel her store during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Olivia's story

Meet Olivia!

Olivia is a resident of Curtí, a rural indigenous community in East Panama. Olivia is the founder of this small and beautiful town.

She runs a roadside store by the Panamerican highway which she founded over 20 years ago. The store sells food, cleaning products, and vegetables, among other products. With this small business she has managed to educate her children and today it is their main livelihood.

She is requesting a loan to improve the store and to purchase more merchandise. She has fully repaid her first Kiva loan and has an immaculate record of punctuality with her suppliers and the local community bank. She is a strong and industrious woman. Olivia lives with her husband and a granddaughter who they are raising. Her children are grateful for all the sacrifices that she's made.

She is a woman who wants to continue improving her quality of life, with hard work and perseverance.

Thanks for joining Global Brigades and Kiva to provide financial inclusion in historically excluded indigenous communities of Panama.
