A loan helped to renovate her old house.

Sopheak's story

Sopheak is 27 years old and a married mother of two children. She resides in the Tram Kak district of Takeo province. She devotes herself to the construction business with her husband to earn household income. This couple provides their construction services with loyalty and seriousness to customers. She can earn a net income of only USD 7 per day and has to spend that money on daily family needs. She is honest and industrious in her daily duties because she wants to raise her living conditions and provide for her children's basic needs and education.

Due to her constrained finances, she has applied for a loan in the amount of 8,000,000 Cambodian riels (KHR) to renovate her old house. She will use this loan to purchase construction supplies such as bricks and cement and pay for labor costs so she can provide everyone in her family with a suitable place to live. She aims to save a part of this loan to help purchase other necessary things. She sends thanks to all lenders for helping poor fellow people like her to improve her family's economy and she believes that through her hard work and perseverance she will be able to attain a better standard of living someday.
