Gladys Patricia's story

Gladys Patricia and her family live in Los Bajos de Montecristi, a place of humble people who work at the rural tasks and in making crafts, and which has been greatly affected by the pandemic caused by COVID-19.

She is a hardworking woman who does everything possible to get her children ahead since she is both mother and father and, although it is more difficult now with the pandemic, she manages it thanks to the loans.

She makes empanadas and also sells Yanbal and Avon products (beauty products and perfumes). For her, the beginning of the pandemic was very difficult since she stopped making the empanadas, which were what earned her the most money, for a long time and was unable to go out to sell. Currently, she is selling although less than before. This loan is to purchase oil, plantains, and other ingredients to make the food.
