Benkan Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy animals and resell them to support his family's needs.

Benkan Group's story

Zeny is the man with his hand on the ram in the photo. Zeny is an ambitious farmer from Mali. He is fifty-seven years old, married to two women and the father of nine children, four of whom attend school. His wives are housekeepers. He raises sheep. He buys and sells his animals at the weekly fairs in his region. Raising animals is profitable for him as it allows him to cover his children's school fees and healthcare costs.

After he sells, he makes a profit ranging between 25,000 and 80,000 West African CFA francs at the end of eight months. But he is often faced with animal deaths and illnesses despite veterinary care. His dream is to build a large enclosure for his animals to improve his business and escape from poverty to become independent. NB: Due to COVID-19, he appears alone in the photo.
