Nenita's story

Nenita is a resident of Concepcion, Iloilo. She is a 42-year-old, married woman with two dependents. To earn an income, she runs a sari-sari (variety) store, selling basic commodities. She has been in this business for many years. Meanwhile, her husband works as a fisherman to provide their family’s needs.

She is asking for a loan of 35,000 PHP through Kiva’s field partner CEV, (A Microfinance NGO) in the Philippines which she will use to buy assorted grocery items, such as toiletries, snack foods, canned goods, noodles, eggs, spices, and drinks.
