San Jose Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase raw materials such as meat, baked goods, vegetables, chicken and other products.

San Jose Group's story

The San José group is in it's first programming cycle for the women's committees. They are from the city of Concepción which is a sensitive area because of the presence of armed groups in the area. All the women are looking for a way to be able to help their families.

Among the women is Maria who is married and has three children. She is dedicated to selling food items. She has her own premises where she sells empanadas and seafood among other things such as barbecue on Saturdays and Sundays. With the help of her children to make the food that she prepares and sells, she also makes deliveries. She gets up early every day to prepare and make the food to sell.

She is requesting this loan to purchase raw materials so that she can continue her sales. She will use the loan to purchase meat, baked goods, vegetables, chicken and other products.

Note: Only two people appear in the photo even though it is a group loan because it wasn't possible to take a group photo as a result of Covid-19 pandemic limits on gatherings.
