A loan helped to buy raw materials to make bags and shoes.

Josue's story

Josue is an inspiring young entrepreneur living in Rwanda. He had always wanted to start a business when he was in college but he did not have enough capital. While he was still in college he got a part-time job to save for his future business. He started making bags in 2018, right after he finished college. He started with one sewing machine that he used to make the bags.

The first cycle loan of $500 USD helped him to buy fabrics to satisfy the growing demand for his products. Today, he has 12 sewing machines, five employees and has also started making shoes. With the skills from college he created an online store for his products, which has also helped him secure more clients around East Africa.

Another loan to Josue will help him to buy more raw materials to make bags and shoes. Josue is a positive and hardworking young entrepreneur who is striving to create a better future.
