Roselyne's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy cost-efficient maize seeds and fertilizer for the coming harvesting season.

Roselyne's Group's story

Pictured above is Roselyne, who, as a group leader, is representing her group formed by 13 farmers in Teso District, Kenya. She is a mother to five children and is known by her community as a very hardworking individual.

Initially, Roselyne joined One Acre Fund in 2012 because she wanted to have access to quality training and acquire new farming methods. Since she joined the program, she says that her life has improved, especially because she has been able to consistently feed her family. With the profits from the coming harvesting season, Roselyne plans to buy a cow.

Between the 13 farmers in Roselyne's Group, a total of 8.25 acres of land will be planted using the maize seeds and fertilizer received with the loan. Additionally, some of the farmers in the group will be purchasing a solar light, so with this loan, the group will also receive a total of three solar lights.
