Lilibeth's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy grocery items like toiletries, spices, eggs, noodles, canned goods, candies, snack foods and drinks and to buy pesticides and fertilizer.

Lilibeth's story

Lilibeth is from Concepcion, Iloilo. She is 47 years old, married and has eight children. To earn an income, she runs a sari-sari (variety) store, selling basic commodities. She has been in this business for many years. Meanwhile, her husband works as a farmer and a fisherman to provide for their family’s needs.

Now, she is asking for a loan of PHP 30,000 through Kiva’s field partner CEVI, a microfinance NGO in the Philippines, which she will use to buy grocery items like toiletries, spices, eggs, noodles, canned goods, candies, snack foods and drinks. The rest of the loan will be used for pesticides and fertilizer.

Lilibeth wants to augment their livelihood in the future for her children’s education.
