Leah's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase hybrid seeds and fertilizer for the cultivation of maize.

Leah's Group's story

Leah, pictured above, has been a farmer for three years, and is now proud to represent her group of 17 farmers in Teso District. She is 23 years old, married and has two children.

Leah likes to think of herself as a very friendly person. She has been working alongside One Acre Fund since 2017 and decided to represent her group because she was just proposed by the team. She says that being part of the One Acre Fund community has meant that she has learnt a lot from farming trainings. Leah plans to use the profits from this coming season to rent more land to cultivate.

In total, Leah’s Group will receive inputs to cultivate 10.5 acres of land. Given that a member of the group will also be purchasing a solar light with this loan, the group will also receive one solar light.
