Leonor Maria's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy supplies like cups, take away containers, cutlery, plates, and disposable items and to buy a stove for baking.

Leonor Maria's story

Leonor, age 68, is an enterprising woman who lives in the city in the Campo de la Cruz municipality. This place is where she has a business selling disposable products and baked goods. Leonor Maria started this business approximately two years ago out of the desire to provide her family and her household with a better quality of life.

She started her business with a small amount of savings that she had. As time passed she managed to become well-known in the area for being good at her work and for being a responsible person. She provides services daily to her main customers; people from surrounding areas, neighbors, and passers-by.

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, she had to suspend her business activities because of orders from the national government and for health reasons. That is why her sales and profits were drastically affected.

Now, thanks to the Atlántico Responde plan, she is requesting her first Kiva loan with the Fundación Santo Domingo in order to be able to increase the working capital in her business. She will use the loan to buy supplies like cups, take away containers, cutlery, plates, and disposable items and to buy a stove for baking. She will do this in order to be able to increase her number of sales and profits. Please help her with her business loan.
